Jingle Belle is an interesting combination of terrier (we think Toy Fox Terrier) and Dachshund.  She was found almost on our doorstep one morning, left in a crate overnight.   Jingle (or Belle, whichever you prefer) is about 18 months old and doesn't seem to know much about the world.  She is somewhat shy but once she warms up to you, she is yours forever.  Jingle seems to prefer women and is afraid of most men (with exposure to the right man, though, she will probably come around).  She gets along well with most dogs but wants to be the one and only lap dog - she'll growl if other dogs want to share in the love.  \We think with kind, firm training she will come out of this.  After all, she has been through quite a bit and wants to hold onto whatever security she might have.  She is a good watchdog but only barks when someone approaches her car or her house.  She loves to play fetch with toys.  She is also very sweet and loving and hopefully will find her forever home soon.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
