About Maxwell | |
|
|
Maxwell is a super sweet 2 to 3 year old small standard dachshund. Poor Max, he was found as a stray, turned into a shelter, then came to rescue. He did get adopted right away but his mom has suffered a serious illness and could no longer take care of him. Of course, we took him back and hope to find his new forever home soon. Max is a very submissive boy and just wants a warm lap and to be cuddled. A walk once in awhile and trips in the car would be nice too. If you think you can find it in your heart to give this boy the home he deserves, please contact us.
Please read the following carefully before applying:
YOU MUST HAVE A SECURE, FENCED YARD TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR DOGS. PARTIAL FENCING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Please see side menu for an explanation.
As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY. NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it. This application has been developed using over 25 years of experience. It helps the adopter and us to make only the beginning of a good match; please be advised that if you do fill out the application, you may not be suitable for the dog you are applying for OR you may not meet our adoption requirements.
WE DO NOT ADOPT OUR DOGS TO HOMES WITH UNALTERED PETS...NO EXCEPTIONS! WHY? CLICK ON SPAY/NEUTER ON THE LEFT HAND MENU.
