|
Cash is one of our puppy mill schnauzers (see the story on fb). He came to us extremely frightened and shut down, in a feral state, unable to be touched or even spoken to without great fear.
Now, Cash is about 1 to 2 years old, very sweet and has been with a professional trainer for the past 6 months. Cash still has long way to go but here is what the trainer has to say about him:
A dog-savvy patient person will be a must! (Cash's tail has not been docked). No children please. The ideal home for Cash would be a quiet home, with another small dog to show him the way, and someone who is home most of the time.
Please read the following carefully before applying:
YOU MUST HAVE A SECURE, FENCED YARD TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR DOGS. PARTIAL FENCING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Please see side menu for an explanation.
As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY. NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it. This application has been developed using over 25 years of experience. It helps the adopter and us to make only the beginning of a good match; please be advised that if you do fill out the application, you may not be suitable for the dog you are applying for OR you may not meet our adoption requirements.
WE DO NOT ADOPT OUR DOGS TO HOMES WITH UNALTERED PETS...NO EXCEPTIONS! WHY? CLICK ON SPAY/NEUTER ON THE LEFT HAND MENU.
