Goldie is a purebred 7 year old, 28 lb. Cocker, who has the most amazing personality.  He is extremely friendly, submissive, playful (doesn't act like a 7 year old) and doesn't appear to have a mean bone in his body.  He is truly the best Cocker we have had in rescue.  Goldie was given up by his elderly owner who had to go into a home.  He has been well taken care of all of his life and has seemed to take into stride the fact that he was taken to a shelter where he spent some time, then taken into rescue.  We are confident that Goldie will make someone an amazing companion.

YOU MUST HAVE A SECURE, FENCED YARD TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR DOGS.  PARTIAL FENCING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.  Please see side menu for an explanation.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
