Daisy Mae is a 7 lb. 8 year old purebred Yorkie who is very sweet and quite the princess!  Daisy would love a human companion who is home most of the time to dote on her.  Daisy, sadly, was in an overcrowded shelter and was frightened beyond words, so probably wouldn't have gotten adopted unless ResQ stepped in.   This poor little girl has quite a few years remaining to live life to its fullest with someone to love her.  Daisy's ideal home would be with someone who is home most of the time, can walk her daily, and also where she would be the only dog or with another small, submissive dog her age.

YOU MUST HAVE A SECURE, FENCED YARD TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR DOGS.  PARTIAL FENCING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.  Please see side menu for an explanation.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING. 

We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it. This application has been developed using over 25 years of experience. It helps the adopter and us to make only the beginning of a good match; please be advised that if you do fill out the application, you may not be suitable for the dog you are applying for OR you may not meet our adoption requirements.
