Apple is a purebred, 4 lb., 2 year old chihuahua girl with a great personality!  She is used to being the apple of someone's eye, but unfortunately was surrendered to a shelter by her owner for unknown reasons.  She would love to be someone's special girl again.  Apple is very sweet, and a total lap dog.  She gets along great with other dogs and is probably ok with cats (as long as they don't chase her).   Please no very large dogs for her or children under 8.

YOU MUST HAVE A SECURE, FENCED YARD TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR DOGS.  PARTIAL FENCING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.  Please see side menu for an explanation.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
